First Place at the Stock Market Challenge

Peiyao Hong and Wenxuan Yang from the Landheim Schondorf made the first place in the rural district Landsberg and the 67. place in Germany at the Stock Market Challenge 2016! 

As every year the Landheim Schondorf participated also in 2016 (10/05/16 - 12/14/16) in the annual Stock Market Challenge. Round about 32.000 Teams from all over Europe took the challenge to earn the most money by selling and buying stocks within a simulated market, starting with a float of 50.000 Euros. Around 200 different stocks were available.

The Landheim Schondorf took part - supported by our economics teacher Stefan Knischek - with 5 teams. By skillfull operating and a clear focus on the American Market the Team „Hongyang Kapital“ was able to raise their stackes to a total amount of  58.571,86 Euros which brought them the first place from 147 teams within the rural district Landsberg and 67th place from about 28.000 teams in Germany. Congratulations! This outstanding performance was also honored by the Sparkasse Landsberg-Dießen with special certificates.

But also the our other Teams performed remarkable. The Team „Arbeitszeitflexibilisierung“ consisting of Aaron Schromm, Jinnao Li and Verena Pedall finished with a deposit of 53.682,63 Euros which made them 5th in the rural district and 927th in Germany. The Team „Szenario Technik“ finished with 51,821,52 Euros resulting into a 16th place in the rural district and a 3606th place in Germany, followed by Team „Marktversagen“ (50.207,52 Euros, 55th) and Team „Notizbuch“ (46.584,27 Euros, 124th).
